Ocean by John Butler is an amazing and iconic song. I was a little apprehensive to record it and end up destroying the thing, but also excited to create my own arrangement. I worked on a few ideas over the last few months (breaking many nails in the process) until I realised I needed to stop procrastinating and just do it.

To record this session, my dad and I went for a hike, guitar and equipment in hand, through the dense bush, climbing under old barb wire fences, until we found this amazing piece of land. The sun was almost gone and evening was setting in, so we had to be quick before darkness, but I think the urgency was captured in this performance with the help of the Murrumbidgee River and the backdrop of the Alps.
